The Awami League will hold a victory procession in the capital on Saturday on the occasion of the golden jubilee of independence and the victory day of Mujibvarsha. The procession will start from the premises of Engineers Institution adjacent to the historic Suhrawardy Udyan at 2 pm and will end at the historic Bangabandhu Bhaban premises at Dhanmondi No. 32 via Shahbagh, Elephant Road and Mirpur Road. The information was given in a circular signed by the party's office secretary Biplob Bara after a meeting of the Awami League on Friday morning on the occasion of the procession. It was decided at the meeting that party leaders and activists from the northern part of the capital should use the roads of Hatirjheel, Maghbazar and Matsya Bhaban and party leaders and activists from the southern part of Dhaka should use the roads of Gulistan, High Court Mazar and Dhaka University area. It is necessary to participate in the program keeping in view the convenience of public movement on the roads. The Awami League has similarly organized victory marches all over the country simultaneously. Leaders and workers of Awami League and allied organizations were urged to implement the program successfully.

He also wished a speedy recovery to Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader. The meeting was presided over by Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Member of the Presidium of the party, Abdur Rahman, Member of the Presidium, Mahbub-ul Alam Hanif, Joint General Secretary, Dipu Moni, Hasan Mahmud and AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Ahmed Hossain, Organizing Secretary, SM Kamal Hossain, Mirza Azam. And Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel, Office Secretary Biplob Barua, Deputy Office Secretary Sayem Khan and Deputy Publicity Secretary Aminul Islam. Besides, President of Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League Sheikh Bazlur Rahman, Joint General Secretary Habib Hasan, President of Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League Bir Muktijoddha Abu Ahmed Monnafi, General Secretary Humayun Kabir and General Secretary of Swechchhasebak League Afzalur Rahman Babu were also present.

Jahangir Kabir Nanak said, "We are sorry for the traffic inconvenience caused to the people for the historic victory procession." I urge the people of the country to get involved in this victory procession.
