In one day, 91 more dengue patients were admitted to the hospital


In the last 24 hours, 91 more patients have been admitted to government and private hospitals across the country, including the capital. Among them, 75 patients are undergoing treatment at Dhaka Hospital and 18 outside Dhaka.


At present, the number of active patients admitted in various government and private hospitals across the country is 493. Of them, 365 are undergoing treatment in government hospitals and 116 in private hospitals. Besides, 98 patients have died of dengue this year.


On Tuesday (November 23), the Health Department's Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room in-charge and Deputy Program Manager (BPM) Dr. This information has been given in a press release signed by Mohammad Zahidul Islam.



From January 1 this year to today (November 23), a total of 26,833 patients were admitted to public and private hospitals across the country, including the capital, after contracting Aedes mosquito-borne dengue fever. Of them, 26,042 have recovered and returned home.


The victims were menstruating 32 in January, 9 in February, 13 in March, 3 in April, 43 in May, 282 in June, 2,026 in July, 6,798 in August, 6,841 in September and 5,456 in October. To date, 2,096 patients have been admitted in November.


Besides, 98 people have died of dengue this year. Of these, 12 died in July, 34 in August, 23 in September, 22 in October and seven so far in November.
