BNP leaders will not allow Khaleda Zia to go abroad during the mass hunger strike.

The party has observed a mass hunger strike demanding unconditional release of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital, and better treatment abroad. The program was held at the party's central office in Naya Paltan on Saturday and in various districts and cities. The party will hold a nationwide rally on Monday demanding the same.

Leaders on a hunger strike in Naya Paltan said the government would not allow Khaleda Zia to go abroad for easy advanced treatment. In that case, Khaleda Zia will have to be released after the fall of the government on the streets and medical treatment will have to be arranged abroad. Leaders of various parties and professional organizations belonging to the 20-party alliance and the National Unity Front also expressed solidarity in the program. This is the first program of the BNP in the field after the conditional release of Khaleda Zia on March 25, 2020 due to the corona virus situation.
