Lalbagh Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) MM Morshed said the man, identified as Ilias Mia, 30, set fire to his motorcycle after receiving a case from a traffic sergeant at noon. When the sergeant went to fine him one thousand rupees for violating the traffic law, he did so out of frustration and anger. However, the details of Elias Mia could not be revealed.


A video of the incident, which was spread on social media Facebook, shows the biker setting his bike on fire in the Palashi area around 2.15pm.
